Colt's pocket revolvers were often purchased by soldiers for personal protection. This is the last percussion model made by Colt. This distinctive example is of the four screw model with 7 ¾ inch barrel. All numbers matching except wedge. Metal turning grey with very little cylinder scene remaining. Strong New York legend on barrel. Original varnish on walnut grips. Left grip has ¼ inch chip out of toe. Weak grip cartouche and secondary military proof. Serial number 10272.
