A legendary American custom knifemaker, Gil Hibben crafts
knives unmatched in their level of workmanship and design quality. His work has
been collected by the likes of Elvis Presley, John Wayne, Sylvester Stallone,
Steve McQueen, and discerning collectors around the globe.
This very early example of a Parker Fighting Knife was designed in 1968 for Hibben’s black belt thesis in Kenpo Karate and named after the Founder of American Kenpo, Ed Parker. His thesis became the basis of the Kenpo system's Long Form VIII (the double dagger form) which uses two knives in mock combat. Crafted with a handsome brass hilt and wooden grip custom shaped for firm handling. The overall length measures 12 ½ inches, and the blade is 7 ¼ inches long. This knife has never been used and is in excellent condition. The authenticity of this was verified by the Hibben Factory.
