Colt's pocket revolvers were often purchased by soldiers for personal protection. This is the most common handgun used by the Union Army. This distinctive example is of the three screw model with 7 ¾ inch barrel. All numbers matching except replacement wedge. Metal turning grey with good cylinder scene. Clear New York legend on barrel. Very little pitting on metal. Chip on left grip where it meets the frame. Strong inspector cartouche. Barrel showing numerous dents and minor pitting. Serial number 58873.
