Sharps Pepperbox Model 1B (1013)
Manufactured in Philadelphia. First seen in 1859, this gun was used by many soldiers during the Civil War, remaining in production until 1874. After the war it became popular in the Old West among lawmen, outlaws, and gamblers as its small size allowed it to be concealed in a waistcoat pocket.
This example is a .30 caliber, with walnut grips, 3 inch barrel, and a brass frame. Patina on frame shows age. Very light pitting on barrel. Broken trigger return spring and firing pin does not rotate. Serial number 2725.
