Sharps Pepperbox Model 1A (1011)
Manufactured in Philadelphia. First seen in 1859, this gun was used by many soldiers during the Civil War, remaining in production until 1874. After the war it became popular in the Old West among lawmen, outlaws, and gamblers as its small size allowed it to be concealed in a waistcoat pocket.
This example is a .22 caliber, with excellent gutta-percha grips, and brass frame with light pitting. Minor pitting on barrel. The firing pin does not rotate. Serial number 13463. Good Condition.
